Braylon's 5th Birthday/Graduation: Part 2

I'm so excited to share part 2 of our celebration with you all!  Now on to Braylon's 5th Birthday party follow-up.  The picture below says it all....we had a blast!  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle theme was a hit and we had so much fun!  With the help of my family, we were able to transform our house and backyard to an awesome turtle themed party which was decorated with turtle balloons, ninja themed accessories, and handmade turtle signage.  My sisters, cousin, and I decorated green t-shirts from Hobby Lobby with craft paint to bring the festivities to life as the turtles and we also had turtle shells...totally cool!  We were able to mutate Braylon's guest with green apple jello ooze to transform them into turtles.  With a little felt and ribbon, I was able to pull off the turtle's face masks on a budget!

On to the good stuff.....food, cake, and ice-cream!  I had a great time creating turtle themed snacks from sewer lids made from oreo cookies, donnie dipped bos made from chocolate dipped pretzel sticks with sprinkles, a fruit tray, raph jello orange slices, and chips.  We can't forget that a turtle party wouldn't be successful without pizza.  Cowabunga dudes...we had lots of pizza.  I also enjoyed baking my son's birthday cake which included a small layer cake decorated with leo turtle and candles in addition to decorated cupcakes and ice-cream.  The kids enjoyed it all!

Lastly, the kids had fun by being entertained with turtle cookie decorating, creating ooze, and the most popular "Ninja Obstacle Course."  We transformed the backyard into an obstacle course in which the kids were divided up into teams to run through three obstacles (1. Pizza dough station to build the first layer of the pizza with a dough puzzle 2. Travel through the sewer tent to put the sauce (puzzle pieces) on top of the dough. 3. Through the foot soldier maze to get the the cheese for the final topping)  on to defeat the foot solider (my husband Marcus) with water balloons.  Everyone enjoyed the obstacle course and after defeating the foot solider, the kids were ready for some lemo-ooze and goody bags!  Braylon had a great 5th birthday and I'm so happy for all the love and support from family and friends!
