Frugal Fashion Friday!

Happy Friday Everyone!  I pray that you all are having a fantastic Friday and I'm here to share my favorite outfit for Frugal Fashion Friday!  One of my favorite colors is coral and I love that I was able to find this great shirt at Oldnavy.  I loved this shirt when I first saw it advertised on Oldnavy's website but it was regular price.  So being the frugal person I am (LOL), I kept watching the shirt in the stores and finally caught it on the clearance rack!  Super excited about my savings and the cuteness of this shirt. I hope you like my outfit and I look forward to sharing more outfits!

Sequoia Sentiments #2::Matt. 19:26

Chamel's Creations::Matthew19:26
This week's Sequoia sentiment is Matthew 19:26:
Chamel's Creations::Matthew19:26
I love the fact that this scripture reveals the magnitude of God's power!  If we truly believe and tap into that same power which he gave to us, we are unstoppable!  God's word clearly shows that in the natural things or circumstances may look or seem impossible.  But my God.......when he sent his ONLY begotten son to die for our sins, we are granted all the blessings and greatness that he has in store for us!  Realize that the Bible didn't say we wouldn't go through test and trials; however, when we keep our eyes on God and not our circumstances we allow him to move on our behalf and in his time!  No matter how your past or current circumstances look, remember that ALL THINGS are possible through God!

Ministry through Music::Greater is Coming!

Do you feel a shaken in your spirit?  Life takes us through various storms but know that they are God allowed.  Seasons of growth, correction, etc. God is moving and  preparing us for greater so we must continue to press and give God everything!  Greater is Coming!

{Lyrics}

An olive has to go through three stages, for its oil to run:
It has to go through the shaking, the beating, and the pressing
And just like the olive, some of you may have felt like you go through the shaking, the beating and the pressing.
You've went through all of that for your oil to flow
Now, your greater is coming...

If it had not been for the shaking,
I never would have been ready for the making, no

If it had not been for the beating,
I would have never knew how anointed I would be.

If it had not been for the pressing,
I wouldn't be able to walk into my destiny.
He's preparing me, preparing me, preparing me for greater...

I feel a shaking in the Spirit,
I feel a beating in the Spirit,
I feel a pressing in the Spirit,
Preparing me for greater...

I feel a shaking in the Spirit,
I feel a beating in the Spirit,
I feel a pressing in the Spirit,
Preparing me for greater...

If it had not been for the shaking,
I never would have been ready for the making, no

If it had not been for the beating,
I would have never knew how anointed I would be.

If it had not been for the pressing,
I wouldn't be able to walk into my destiny.
He's preparing me, preparing me, preparing me for greater...

I feel a shaking in the Spirit,
I feel a beating in the Spirit,
I feel a pressing in the Spirit,
Preparing me for greater...

I feel a shaking in the Spirit,
I feel a beating in the Spirit,
I feel a pressing in the Spirit,
Preparing me for greater...

Many are the afflications of the righteous,
But the Lord delivereth them out,
Of them all...

Because your greater is coming...

Greater (greater is coming)
Wanna let you know greater (greater is coming)
Hey, greater, yes it is (greater is coming)
Said I know that my greater is coming (greater is coming)

Can you just lift your hands and say greater (greater)
Is coming (is coming)
Eyes haven't seen (greater)
Ears haven't heard (is coming)
My greater is coming (greater)
My greater is coming (is coming)

Hey....(greater is coming)

I feel a shaking in the Spirit, God knows
Feel a beating in the Spirit,
I feel a pressing in the Spirit,

Preparing me for greater... (it's coming, it's coming)
Oh, my greater is coming (it's coming, it's coming)
Oh yeah, my greater is coming (it's coming, it's coming)
Yes it is, yes it is, I believe (it's coming, it's coming)

I feel it, I know that I know it's coming:

Greater anointing (it's coming)
Greater power (it's coming)
Greater destiny (it's coming)
Greater door (it's coming)

It's coming, it's coming (it's coming)
It's coming, yes it is (it's coming)
I believe it's coming (it's coming)
I know it's coming (it's coming)

Look out world (it's coming)
Here comes my healer (it's coming)
Look out world (it's coming)
Here comes my delieverer (it's coming)

Here comes my redeemer (it's coming)
My restorer, my waymaker (it's coming)
My breakthrough, my way out (it's coming)
My greater, my greater is coming (it's coming)

My greater is coming (it's coming)
Declare in the atmosphere (it's coming)
My greater is coming (it's coming)
I shall lack no more (it's coming)

I shall lack no more, my greater is coming (it's coming)
My greater is coming (it's coming)
I believe it, I believe it (it's coming)
I trust in you Lord, I trust in you Lord (it's coming)

You're preparing me for greater (it's coming)
Thank you for the shaking (it's coming)
Thank you for the beating, thank you for the pressing (it's coming)
Cause I know (it's coming)

My greater is coming (it's coming)
My greater is coming, you're pulling me through

He's preparing me for greater...

Oh my greater,
My greater is already here
My greater is already here,
I'm walking into a new season,
Oh, it's a new season
Oh, delieverance is here
Oh, it's already here
Oh, yeah yeah...

Praising God in Prayer!

Yesterday, I found myself spending too much time thinking about what I didn't have or what upcoming things I needed to get done! Yep...it did damper my mood and I knew better.  However, I’m so thankful for God's love and mercy and this morning that He revealed a devotion to get me back on track.  Titled "Praising God in Prayer," the devotional discussed how we should praise God for making everything and supplying our needs.  I was tasked to write down 10 things I was grateful for and to share.

-My relationship with God…no matter how many times I fail He is always there!
-Marriage to my loving and supportive husband.
-My son Braylon’s growth and development.
-My son Kaleb being here with us!  Being born at 25 weeks (1 lb and 9ozs) and currently doing well with his therapies.
-Health/Mental state – blessed to not have any sickness in my family.
-Home that is centered on God. (Having shelter, working appliances, food, clothing, etc….our needs met)
-Loving and supportive family that is close.
-Ability to share God’s word to encourage others and use of my talents to build his kingdom.
-Working vehicles to transport my family safely.
-Heart to love and help others.

As you can see, this is just a sample of how grateful I am to God.  We all could spend the rest of our lives writing such a list.  All I can say is that God is good….ALL THE TIME! No matter what the situation may be, God is there!  Supplying all of our needs!  Writing this list has shifted my attitude and I’ve asked God to renew my mind daily…every minute!

Psalm 145:1-2 states:
“I will exalt you, my god the King; I will praise your name forever and ever.  Every day I will praise you and extol your name forever and ever.”

Today, dig deep and pray for all the things that God has done for you.  What are you grateful for today?

Ministry through Music :: They That Wait

Chamel's Creations :: Ministry through Music
Do you find yourself trying to rush things or make things happen on your own?  How about waiting on the Lord?  The Bible gives great examples of "waiters": Noah waited on God before leaving the ark (Gen. 8:10,12), Job waited for God's answers (Job 14:14), and Micha waited for the God of his salvation (Micha 7:7).  Let's be like these great examples and wait for God's promises.  Please allow Fred Hammond's "They That Wait" to minister to your spirit and renew your strength!
{Lyrics}

Listen, to those of you that are going throughFor those of us that are waiting on his promiseUnderstand God has not forgotten youWhen times get tough, you got to look up to heavenAnd encourage yourself, and sing

They that wait on the LordShall renew their strengthThey shall mount up on wingsJust like an eagle and soar

They shall run and not be wearyThey shall walk and never faintThey that wait on the LordAnd I say wait on the Lord

Hold on a little while longerHere's what you got to doTrust and believe my friendHe'll work it out for you

One thing you must rememberMy God is able andHe cares for youHe cares for you

Wait on the Lord and He will come throughWait on the Lord, He will answer youWait on the Lord and He won't be longWait on the Lord, He's going to work for they that wait

Wait on the Lord and He will come throughWait on the Lord, He will answer youWait on the Lord and He won't be longWait on the Lord

They that wait upon himShall have renewed strengthThey shall mount up on wings like eagles and soarI'm so gladI've learned how to waitIn the midst of my waitingI'm gonna bless His name

They that wait on the LordShall renew their strengthThey shall mount up on wingsJust like an eagle and soar

They shall run and not be wearyThey shall walk and never faintThey that wait on the LordAnd I say wait on the Lord

Wait on the Lord and He will come throughWait on the Lord, He will answer youWait on the Lord and He won't be longWait on the Lord

Let me see you break it down with meLet me see you break it down with meWave your hands and shake your handsAnd tell your neighbor

Hold on a little while longerHold on, hold onHold on a little while longerHold on, hold on

Hold on a little while longerHold on, hold onHold on a little while longerHold on, hold on

Don't give upDon't give upDon't give upWait on Him, wait on Him

Don't give upDon't give upDon't give upWait on Him, wait on Him

Are you planted in good soil?

For the last few months I have been wrestling with trusting God 100%.  I had to be honest with myself because there is a different in saying and doing!  Let's be transparent here: my husband and I have been struggling with our finances and juggling trying to live on one income, taking care of medical bills, working to get out of debt, and all the unexpected expenses.  Of course I know what the scriptures say about trust and surrendering all to God, but I have haven't been doing that.  I have been slipping back into "US" trying to work things out and forgetting about giving everything to God!  I have been praying and asking God for forgiveness and direction.

His direction was to dig deeper and get to the root of the problem!  Why is it so hard for me to let go and let God?  God revealed the parable about the four soils in Matthew 13: 3-23 (please read when you have time).  Basically we see that the farmer planted seeds and they fell either on the foothpath (those who hear the message and don't understand), rocky soil (those who receive the message and are filled with joy, but don't last), among thorns (hear the message but mind is crowed with worries and issues of the world) , or in good fertile soil (truly receive the message and understand God's word).

Image from http://snowhillmbc.webs.com
As you can see from the picture above, you either fall into hardened, shallow, contaminated, or receptive soil.

This lead to the question: How do I fall into good soil? (to develop deep roots that will allow me to hear and understand God's word and produce an abundant harvest)

I was truthful with myself and realized that I was contaminated with issues of this world: How do we pay our bills?  What does the future hold? How will we get out of debt?  How will our career and business prosper?  Will be be good parents?  Will my children develop properly?

Webster dictionary defines contamination as to soil, stain, corrupt, or infect by contact or association.  Satan uses these things to infect or corrupt our minds in order to keep us from all of God's blessings.  So I dug a little deeper (going to be an expert on contamination...LOL).  Wikipedia describes soil contamination as the process that is caused by the presence of xenobiotics (human made) chemicals or alterations that are buried directly in the soil.  This contamination is initiated by Satan (who comes to kill, steal, and destroy..) and I carry out the process by forming these xenobiotics in my life:  worrying about marriage, children, finances, career, etc.  Another form of contamination is when water washes contamination from one area to another.  (Allowing past issues from one relationship spill over into a new one, past issues I've dealt with resurface in my current state)

If I'm planted in contaminated soil this will impact the health of the root....me!  So how do I fix this?
Cleanup requires time and can be expensive.  How much of you and your time is worth the cost of getting your soil back right?  Let's not run to Lowes or Homedepot and buy the soil in the pretty bag that is labeled with all its benefits.  I consider this the quick fix which just covers up the soil already there when it could actually be contaminated soil anyway.  Rather take the route that takes time and an intimate relationship with God to flush contaminates out by removing strongholds and surrendering all to God and treating our soil daily through God's word (Matthew 4:24-25), prayer, and praise.

With the right soil in place, we are able to draw nourishment from the soil through our roots.....  Will you make the decision today to let go of the xenobiotics in your life and work towards allowing God to take root?

Preparing for Kindergarten

Time is flying by....super fast! My oldest son Braylon will be graduating from preschool in a few weeks and will be heading to "big boy school " in August. It seemed just like yesterday that I was holding him in my arms for the first time...taking his first steps....being my baby. Now we have arrived to preparing for KINDERGARTEN! Early April, we registered and completed initial assessment testing.  Now we are on to preparing to celebrate his 5th birthday on May 20th,  prepping towards buying school supplies and anticipating the first school bus ride. All so exciting and scary at the same time. I'm so proud of him and how much he has grown. This last year we have seen such a transformation in his development and learning and kuddos go out to his preschool teacher Mrs. Billie and  the staff at Hermitage United Methodist Preschool. We look forward to his continued growth and upcoming milestones at Andrew Jackson Elementary. We love you Braylon and many blessings and adventures in Kindergarten!
